Description:
A Curious Imagination is an original acrylic painting that was drawn and then painted as a collaboration between myself and my five year old daughter Leiana. We worked on this painting for many days as a time we spent together. If you couldn't guess by looking at the painting, she is indeed a cat lover.
I wanted to include a cat in some way to express my love for her and her interests. I searched for imagery for days looking for a cute cat peeking over an object to represent the spirit of childlike irresistible curiosity. This work is the first painting in an upcoming series, yet to be completed, where I will be combining my abstract paintings, ferns and greenery, along with an adventurous animal or two. These 3 aspects combine my love for abstract art, and indoor and outdoor plants - as I am a gardener, and animals. My children love animals and adding animals into this series is my way of including my children indirectly. To me, animals represent love, responsibility, loyalty, and cuteness. All great things to add to a work of art right? :)
I hope you enjoy, and if you do, keep a lookout for new work soon!
